Origin, classification and history
F.C.I classification: Group 7 - standing dogs.
Only at the end of the 19th century was this breed created. It is probably the product of the cross between the "French Poodle" and the "English Pointer". We tried this crossbreed to try to get an extremely eclectic dog. The influence of the "Poodle" has greatly contributed to the accentuation of some of the character characteristics of this dog.
Medium sized dog. the breed is characterized by the presence of hard, rough and medium length hair on most of the body. The ideal type is the subject constituted as a heavy "Pointer", with a height at the withers of 60-65 cm.
Multipurpose set and hunting dog. Suitable for all kinds of tasks and game. It is often used for hunting partridge, fox, wild rabbit, hare, and sometimes duck. He is a lively, cheerful and energetic dog. Very intelligent and docile. Very easy to train at work and educate. He has an innate passion for water and swimming. Very attached to his master.
